DM Barnes Home Inspections offers three different
categories of property inspections. All inspections we
provide are conducted according to the standards of
practice of the American Institute of Inspectors (AII).

Prior to the Inspection
When you call to book an inspection, any information you
can provide us about your property is helpful.
Property type (single family, condo, multi-family),
square footage, year built, occupancy status and any
other notable conditions help us prepare for the most
efficient and complete inspection. If your Real
Estate Agent referred you, please provide us their name
as well for our records.
We are very flexible with our inspection scheduling.
In the summer months, we can often schedule your
inspection as early as 8:00 AM and as late as 4:00 PM.
Typically, we need at least one hour of daylight to
inspect the exterior of your property.

During the Inspection
Clients are welcome and encouraged to be present during
the inspection. This can be an invaluable experience to
prospective buyers as the inspector can point out
findings on the spot and explain them in context. Allow
about 2-3 hours or more for the inspection, depending on
the size of the property and its condition.
Following the Inspection
At the conclusion of the inspection, a verbal report
summarizing the findings will be provided on site. Usually within 24 hours,
you will receive your report via email or web download.
If these options are not convenient, a hard copy report
will be delivered to you upon request.
Clients are welcome and encouraged to call us for
clarification or with any questions they may have about
the inspection report or any of the findings in the
report. Our goal is your complete satisfaction.
